A severe maxillary atrophy was augmented using a maxgraft® block and bovine bone granules. maxgraft® is a sterile allograft product with preserved biomechanical properties. The block was cut into slices and fixed with osteosynthesis screws. For filling up the voids bovine bone granules were used and the augmented area was covered with a collagen membrane. Due to the natural human bone structure and the preserved collagen in maxgraft® blocks a fantastic horizontal bone regeneration was obtained.
